The holidays are right around the corner and that means holiday photos are needing to be taken and sent out to friends and family. I know some people dread holiday photos but when you have a memorable look they are more enjoyable. Here are 5 must-have holiday makeup and hair looks for 2020.
1. Red Lips
You are sure to stand out with a bold red lip color this season. There are lots of shades to choose from bright cherry red to oxblood, to some trendy berry shades. The key here is to experiment before you take those photos to see which shade of red looks best with your skin tone. When wearing a red lip you can tone down your overall makeup since it is so loud. Add some mascara and eyeliner and you are ready to go.
2. Beach Waves
Don’t we all love wavy hair during the jolly season? They give a cute looking like too much of a try-hard look. Beach waves look effortlessly on all hair lengths. Spritz heat protectant on dry hair and curl your hair with an iron, then rake your fingers through the hair. You’ll have the perfect holiday look for the party.
3. Gold Shadow
Gold is a great color for the eyes throughout the year but be sure to wear it during the month of December. Gold eye shadow warms all skin tones which is going to flatters us all. Wear this look by applying a gold shadow just on the center of your lids. If you’re aiming to look like a glowing goddess dust a bit of gold shadow on your cheekbones and lips as well.
4. High Ponytail
Holiday hair looks sound a bit intimidating but they can really be quite simple. Haven’t we all done a high pony at some point? We’re in luck this Christmas season because the high ponytail is a look people will be doing this year. Be sure to get all of the bumps out by using some gel then pull the hair straight back. Use some hairspray to be sure your hair is intact for those glamor shots.
5. Messy updo
Updos are a great look for holiday pictures with the family. They are easy to do and don’t take too much time. First what you will need to do is curl your ends. Next, collect your hair as if you’re going to make a ponytail, then twist it towards your head and secure with pins. Allow for some strands of hair to hang down around your face because it is supposed to look messy. This look will leave you looking chic.
